SDLXLIFF Converter for MS Office

This is no longer being maintained. It's worth noting that Trados Studio has an Export for External Review feature as part of the product which provides the same functionality as this application. There is also an "<a href="https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/export-to-excel/532/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Export to Excel</a>" plugin which is a more useful tool if you just want to export to XLSX. This application provides the user with the ability to create DOCX or XLSX documents containing the source and the target text from a fully populated SDLXLIFF. It is NOT possible to import the XLSX back into Trados Studio so the XLSX is an export only feature, but you can open the DOCX in Microsoft Word to review/edit the exported document and then import any changes back to the original SDLXLIFF file. This app is installed alongside the product with Studio 2014, 2015 and 2017. You can find it in the navigation pane in 2014, 2015 and 2017. The version here is for use with Studio 2019/2021 because it is no longer installed with Studio.

GroupShare Version Fetch

The ProblemYou need to share files for translation or review and the people you are sharing with don't use Studio, they can't support SDLXLIFF, and they want to use a CAT tool. You also do so much of this you need to have a better way of managing the process. You want to be able to share one XLIFF on a multi-lingual project and have the translators complete the target language. TM Optimizer

Convert Workbench translation memory: Use this option when you have not yet converted your Workbench TM for use in Studio. You will need a TMX export of the Workbench TM you want to convert. TM Lifting

Trados Studio 2014 SP2 introduced the concept of recognition for alphanumeric placeables.If you want to update your existing Translation Memories to make use of this feature you have to do two things. First you have to check the Alphanumeric checkbox in "Fields & Settings" in the Translation Memories View and then you have to Re-Index the Translation Memory. Trados Studio 2017 introduced upLIFT. You need to run your TMs through a two stage process one at a time to be able to prepare them for fragment matching as part of the upLIFT feature. First you build your translation model and then you align the fragments in "Fragment Matching" in the Translation Memories View. If you have many Translation Memories this exercise could take a long time! The "TM Lifting" application does a few important things:1. It checks the box and re-indexes the TM if you wish to Reindex the TMs3. It builds the translation model and aligns the fragments if you wish to prepare for upLIFT3. It can do this for multiple TMs at the same time So you can drag and drop your TMs into the application interface and then select "Reindex" or "upLIFT" and leave it to run. It will work as quickly as you have available resources on your computer. There is no progress indicator but rest assured it is working. Trados Studio Target Renamer

The ProblemYou have many files in your translation project, and you are delivering the target files for review before the project is complete. So you want rename the target files to reflect their status as unfinished deliverables for review only. You have a multilingual project with many languages and you want the target files to be unique with the language code added to the filename of each one. At least two problems related to the naming of target files generated by Trados Studio. SDLXLIFF Toolkit

Clear the segments or change the status of or lock/unlock segments in your file/projects based on a number of specific criteria including translation status, match value, document structure and translation origin.
