MSWord Grammar Checker

The recommended choice for grammar checking is the </em><a href="https://appstore.rws.com/Plugin/95" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>Language Tool plugin</em></a><em>.</em></p><p><br></p><p> The Grammar Checker for Studio adds Microsoft Word grammar checking capability to the verification feature of Studio. No complicated setup, just install the plugin and run the verification batch task, or press F8, to use.</p><p>The check can also work in real-time indicating possible grammar errors as you work segment by segment.</p><p>The Grammar Checker relies on your installation of MSWord and supports grammar checking in the languages you have supported in MSWord.</p><p> Once installed, restart Trados Studio and go to the Project Settings. Under 'Verification', make sure that the box is ticked for MSWord Grammar Checker for the app to start functioning. </p>

MT Comparison

MultiTrans Plug-In for Trados Studio

<p>A connector from Trados Studio to MultiTrans that allows linguists to retrieve and complete their MultiTrans tasks from within Trados Studio, using both MultiTrans and Trados resources such as TM and terminology matches simultaneously. You do not need to install the separate plugins for terminology and/or translation memories if you are installing the application for 2019. The installer will install them automatically.</p><p>If you are installing for 2021 you need to install all three plugins, which is best done through the integrated appstore feature in 2021.</p><p><br></p>

<p><strong><em>The Problems</em></strong></p><p><em>Problem 1:</em> You work in a regulated industry and need to be able to ensure that legally binding inconsistent repetitions are used correctly throughout the round-trip of a project.</p><p><em>Problem 2:</em> You want to be able to import multiple SDLXLIFF files and/or TMX files to multiple Translation Memories and stamp the TUs (Translation Units) with the filename of each imported file.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>The Solution</em></strong></p><p>This application, SDLTM ImportPlus supports the ability to import SDLXLIFF files and/or TMX files to multiple Translation Memories and optionally stamp each TU (Translation Unit) with the segment number and/or the file name. This provides the user working in a regulated workflow with the ability to verify that a pre-translation of an updated file is using the correct translation in the case where there are multiple translations by verifying against the segment number stored in the TM.</p><p>The application also provides the user who simply wishes to import multiple files into their Translation Memories and record the filename so they always know where the TUs came from and can easily remove, or edit them, using the batch editing features in Trados Studio.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
