Web Lookup

The Web Lookup plugin for Studio allows the user to select text in the source or target language of the translation and run an internet search by clicking on an icon in the ribbon, right-clicking in the editor and selecting "web lookup" or through the use of a simple keyboard shortcut. The search takes place in one of the 40 preconfigured websites... but that's not all! You can add your own websites to the menu or remove existing ones to configure the application the way you like. There is a useful guide that helps you to create the correct search URL and use it in the application. The search results themselves are language sensitive. For example, if you select a German source word then the results will be in a German website if available, and an English target language will result in a search result from an English website etc. The results are displayed in a window in Studio which can be placed wherever you like to make your personal use more convenient. Updates within V1.4 You can restrict the functionality of the browser so that images are not downloaded and scripts are not run. This done in Settings and will make things faster and more stable for some sites. You can share your own lookup methods with other Web Lookup users. This is also done in Settings – click Share in the dialog. Updates within V1.3 Opened tabs will be re-opened when Studio is re-started. Upon performing a lookup, the focus will move to the Web Lookup tabs for easy browsing among the open tabs using the arrow keys. When focus is in the web page, pressing Esc will move focus to the tabs and when focus is on the tabs, Esc will move focus to the translation segment. The standard autocomplete feature of Internet Explorer is now functional in Web Lookup, meaning that for example login details can be remembered.

Integrated Segment Actions

This app provides a right-click menu option for a project or set of files in Studio from which you can change the segments based on the current status. For example:- Lock 100% matches.- Lock and mark repetitions as rejected in order to deal with them later. - Revert poor machine translations to source.- Revert fuzzy matches to source.- And more!After doing this you can - if selected - undo changes by restoring files from Trash, but keep in mind that not all file servers support Trash. You will also be able to see the the number of affected segments and optionally redo the action while keeping the dialog open.Leaving all filter options unchecked will mean that all segments in the selected project/files are affected by the action.

Delete Language Specific Target Files

If you sometimes have multilingual projects where certain source files only need to be translated to some of the languages in the project you may find this app useful. The app is launched from the projects view in Studio (simply right-click a project and select Delete Language Specific Target Files on the menu) and allows you to delete target files you do not need/want by unselecting them in a clear overview. You can either manually select/unselect files one by one or do it by matching language codes in the name of the files (when such language codes have been used to specify what language a file is to be translated to). After deleting the files you can analyse and process the project as usual.

Vertical Review

Vertical Review is a separate view part in the Editor. With a translation active in the Editor simply choose View -> Vertical Review on the menu in Studio to open it. You will get a view-only display of a set number of segments at a time, with the active segment showing both source and target, a bit like the old Trados TagEditor. You can browse through your translated files in Vertical Review to review the translation in a top-down vertical view or work away as normal in the standard Editor with Vertical Review as an additional segment view. With Vertical Review you also get keyboard shortcuts, Ctrl+Shift+PgUp and Ctrl+Shift+PgDown, for moving up and down through all segments, regardless of segment status. Word Count Copy

Quickly copy analysis word counts with a single command from within Studio.You can copy word counts of a project or selected files. The word counts that are copied are the same as the ones visible in the standard Analysis Statistics pane in Studio.Simply select the project or the files you want and choose Copy Word Counts from the right-click menu. Alternatively, click the Copy Word Counts button on the Add-Ins tab or press the keyboard shortcut Alt+F5 (configurable in the Studio options). The copied word counts will be placed on the clipboard in both tab separated and html format so that they can be pasted wherever you want them, for example in applications like Microsoft Word or Excel.Once installed, restart Studio and you will now be able to perform the new command in the projects and files view. You can either right click on a project/file or navigate to the 'Add-ins' tab in the ribbon.

Segment Information Viewer

Segment Information Viewer allows you to see certain information such as document structure information (dsi), context types, comments and meta data at a glance.Also some things like tags are displayed in a way that makes it possible to copy such information to the Clipboard for further use. The information view can be placed horizontally or vertically and each of the four text boxes can be resized.
