+++New Feature: custom temp path to better support Onedrive and Dropbox file stores+++
- Updated max version for SDL Trados Studio 2019 to comply with SDL versioning conventions
- New in app icon to correlate with appstore icon. No functional changes.
- fixes an issue where the Go button was not visible on very small screens or when the SDL Trados Studio window was set to a smaller window height.
The new privacy (GDPR) regulations in the European Union require translators to be much more vigilant when it comes to handling user data. SDL Trados Studio, like any other translation memory system, stores user data in the translation memories that you may want to remove or obfuscate in order to not reveal it to unauthorized persons. TM Anonymizer is a plugin for SDL Trados Studio that allows you to anonymize Created By, Modified By, Last Used By and other fields in SDLTMs and TMX files.
When anonymizing SDLTMs, TM Anonymizer creates the translation model that is necessary for fragment matching in SDL Trados Studio 2017 and runs the fine grain alignment, thus making the manual TM upgrade procedure in SDL Trados Studio redundant.
With the free version, you can anonymize one TM add a time. Once you buy a license, you can anonymize an unlimited amount of TMs with the click of a button.
**Created a new Version 126.96.36.1992 for Studio 2022**
- Created a new Version 188.8.131.521 for Studio 2021
- Updated version 184.108.40.206 for Studio 2019-
adding maxversion='16.0" to prevent incorrect installation into Trados Studio 2021
-SDLXLIFF Anonymizer now also obfuscates user names in comments and tracked changes - this is an often requested feature.I finally had time to implement it.
- New app icon inside of Studio 2019 and Studio 2017 to correlate with the app store icon.
- improved the way settings are saved during sessions
- fixed a bug that prevented SDL Language Cloud to be removed as origin system
This plugin removes the user data and other administrative information from all selected SDLXLIFF documents directly inside SDL Trados Studio.
Before your documents get changed, they are backed up, so that you can easily return to the status before the anonymization.
With the free version you can anonymize just one SDLXLIFF document at a time which is perfect for users operating the single document workflow. If you wish to anonymize full projects with multiple files then a paid license is required.

MenuMaker for Trados Studio
MenuMaker turns any applications on your computer into a list that is displayed on the Welcome screen of Trados Studio into a full blown Start menu replacement - which comes in handy as you will have your favourite programs at your finger tips when working in Studio. Once installed, you will now find MenuMaker on your desktop as a shortcut where it opens as a stand alone app outside of Trados Studio.
Extract and Reinject Embedded Objects
The app will extract all embedded objects and picture files from a batch of Word DOCX documents in order to make them translatable in Trados Studio or any other translation memory tool. Pictures and other non-translatable objects are also extracted in order to be able to edit them e.g. using an image manipulation program. After translation is finished, the translated or edited objects are reinjected into the translated Word DOCX document. The DOCX document can then be further processed in Microsoft Word.We will support paying customers if they are running into problems using the app.If you like the demo version of the tool and want to buy a license, please email us - info(at)localix.biz.
